After 16 Years, A Credit Card Account Gets Closed Without My Knowledge.

November 2, 2009

Since 1993, when I was still in college, I have had a credit card with a certain company. Right now they call themselves FIA/IBS, but over the years they have been called various things. Well, as I said I have had this card on my credit report for 16 years, making it the longest line of credit I still have had open – until last week when they decided to close my account without even telling me. The card hadn’t been used in about a year, as I only use my Chase Amtrak rewards card now, but Source: My Two Dollars RSS Feed

3M Shows Off Their 3D Film For LCDs

November 2, 2009

By Andrew Liszewski

I thoroughly enjoy 3D films when it’s done properly, but for 3D to become something more than just a novelty, there has to be a way to get rid of those polarized glasses. And that’s where innovations like 3M’s new optical film comes into play. It features small, dome-shaped lenses on the surface of the film combined with prism-like structures on the underside to create a 3D effect that is visible with the naked eye.

Volkswagen four-door Polo spy shots

October 27, 2009

These spy shots show the future Volkswagen Polo sedan, which should debut at the New Delhi motor show in January 2010. As the debut would suggest, the Polo sedan is destined for the emerging markets of India and Brasil, and no plans have been revealed thus far to introduce the model to Europe as well. The Polo sedan should be very similar in style to the original hatch, with the only obvious difference being in the rear area to create the sedan model.

It’s also available in trendy colors like black, white, fluorescent green and hot pink, but like most readers these days itSource: OhGizmo! RSS Feed

GenMobile Is Sega Genesis Cart Friendly

October 22, 2009

By Andrew Liszewski

Officially licensed by Sega, the GenMobile is essentially the same idea as the Nomad from years gone by, except smaller thanks to a few generations of technological miniaturization. It natively plays both Genesis and Japanese Mega-Drive carts thanks to a slot in the back, but it also comes with 20 titles built-in including Sonic Spinball, Kid Chameleon, Golden Axe and Ecco Jr. if your collection has already been given away. It’s got a 2.5-inch TFT screenSource: OhGizmo! RSS Feed
